Quick Start Guide
Overview
When you first get started with Kareroo, there are a few things you should do to get setup.
This guide will cover each of the below areas, or link to the relevant documentation if it already exists:
- Register
- Importing data from another platform
- Setting up your invoice details
- Adding your services
- Adding your clients (not importing)
- Adding your rates
Register
Registering is already detailed here.
Essentially, go to Register, fill out the form or sign up with Google, and then choose a plan. Once checked out, you will be taken to the account section, and you can continue with the quick start guide from there.
Importing data from another platform
Importing your data makes transferring from another platform significantly easier. We do it using a relatively universal method, using CSV files. Most platforms allow you to export your data in a CSV format, and with some minor adjustments, you can easily import this information into Kareroo.
Important note: Platforms process and store information differently, and our ability to import your data in the same format as your other platform is limited based on how similarly they store the information to us.
To import your data, checkout the below guides depending on the platform you are coming from:
- Quickbooks: Importing Data from Quickbooks
- Xero: Importing Data from Xero
- Reckon: Importing Data from Reckon
Setting up your invoice details
Your invoice details are the details that will appear on the invoices you send to your clients or their plan managers, etc. These include:
- Business Name
- ABN/ACN
- Business Email Address
- Billing Address
- Logo
- Payment Instructions (Bank Details etc)
To set these up, go to Account, and then click on the "Invoice" tab.
For a more up to date guide, you can check out Update My Invoice Details.
Adding your services
With over 600 support items on the NDIS Support Item catalogue, it's impractical to display all of them in a dropdown throughout Kareroo. So instead, you simply tell us the few that you need, and we make them available in the relevant areas.
Adding your services will also allow you to set custom rates for those services for each client you add.
To add services, check out this guide: Add A Service.
Adding your clients
If you have your client information saved in another platform like Quickbooks, Xero, Reckon or something else, you can import them into Kareroo using a CSV format.
Alternatively, you can add them yourself one by one.
To add clients, check out this guide: Add A Client.
Adding your rates
Once you have your services and clients added, you can start setting your rates for each service and each client. You can also do this while adding clients if you prefer, but make sure you have added your services first otherwise you will not be able to add any rates yet.
To add rates, check out this guide: Rates.
