Rates

What are rates?

Rates are the amount you charge each client per hour or unit of each service. You DO NOT have to set these rates for each client, however they make it much easier when invoicing clients, particularly if you use rates that are not identical to the NDIS pricing arrangements.

Should I set rates?

You don't have to, but we generally recommend it. If you don't set rates, when invoicing the prices will be set to the National rate for the support item you are using. This works fine if you charge the National rate for all services, but if you have different rates for the same service for each client, you would need to manually enter these rates every time you invoice them. With custom rates, you set them once and it is automatically set everytime you invoice that service for that client.

How do I set rates?

To set rates, you need to have a few things already set up:

  1. Have already added at least one client - Learn How
  2. Have already added at least one service - Learn How

To set rates, go to Clients, select the client you want to set rates for, then go to the "Rates" tab.

You will be presented with a popup asking for a service. Click on the field and select the service you want to set a rate for. These services are the ones you added previously - Learn More. Once you've selected a service, the description of the service and the 3 rates (National, Remote and Very Remote) will appear.

You can now either select one of the NDIS rates, or enter your own custom rate. Remember that the NDIS rates are the maximum you can charge for that support item under the NDIS. You can charge less, but not more.

Once done, press "Save Rate".

Repeat this process for any other services or clients you wish to set rates for.

How do I edit rates?

To edit rates, go Clients, select the client you want to edit rates for, then go to the "Rates" tab.

Locate the rate you wish to edit and press the edit button. You will be presented with the same popup as when you added the rates, but it will have the information prefilled. Change the rate to the new amount and then press "Save Rate".

How do I remove a rate?

To remove a rate, go Clients, select the client you want to remove rates for, then go to the "Rates" tab.

Locate the rate you wish to remove and press the remove button. You will be presented with a confirmation popup. Press "Delete" to remove the rate.

You can also tick the checkbox of any rates you wish to delete and then use the delete button at the top of the list/table that says "Delete" and then the number of checked rates to be deleted.
